Biltong in Cape Town

I just love my biltong from Britos in Stikland.
I make sure to get the stuff with the yellow fat, as that is the best!
That white fat is just yuck!

i enjoy it wetter and soft so il probably dry it for way less time

and the only place that did sell halaal biltong for cheap was fruit n veg at access park ..they have specials for R99 sometimes

from bellville thats far
Access park is far from Bellville??? :wtf:

Unless you're talking about the one in Kenilworth or was it Claremont. The one I'm thinking of is in Stikland (I doubt its this one though)

So anyone know of a good biltong place in/around the northen suburbs? The local Durbanville Spar has some nice biltong at R180/kilo.

I love how "real beef" is in inverted commas. It now kinda means the opposite of what you intended, OP...:D

at around R350 a kg ..they crazy bro
I'm not seeing a price on the site? Or where did you get the price from. That price is insane!

My wife bought some leather which was soaked in salt water and then dried on the roof of a house in the Namib for a week. Last night she offered me a piece and I lied, telling her my gums are sore.

J&M biltong is insanely priced. I'm surprised they have lasted this long. Shows you what good marketing can do for you.

bejesus
actually had no idea they were that expensive

there is a kiosk in a centre in s point just in front of the wworths i sometimes go to.

i usually ask the auntie for about R100 of the wet & fatty sliced stuff on my way in & collect on my way out - no wonder it's almost finished before i even get to the car

If you go past Tableview sometime there is a old guy that stand by his car and sells biltong in Gie Rd. I have searched high and low for quality in cape town and I find this guy to be the best so far. He makes it himself and only use top quality 100% beef. Very passionate about his biltong and you can taste the quality every time.

I have tried every butchery in tableview and the supermarkets and the biltong shops and everything tasted really bland.

Thanks for this !

they have quality biltong though ...very good stuff for that price

if you compare to like fruit n veg who has R99 and R129 specials ...they are 5 star and fruit n veg is 2 star

want the best biltong in ct? i make it a point to go buy from this guy everytime i go to ct. places name is shan biltong. halaal. he sells from the fleamarket at muizenberg beach on a sunday. his stall is at the last row right at the back. there are a few other guys selling there though but his name is on his stall. he has beef biltong in dry sticks, thick wet sticks or sliced, chicken biltong, ostrich biltong, burger paties made into biltong and has various flavours. think i paid R240 a kg recently
