Hey all,

Apologies all for putting Ref ID in prior thread, that aside please see experience below its a great SA exchange alternative.

Signing up is super quick and getting yourself verified is a breeze! I have been using the exchange now for the last month or so but the official SA/ZAR launch is today.

Now for the good stuff: https://binance.zendesk.com/hc/en-u...-Fiat-On-Ramp-for-the-South-African-Rand-ZAR-

Article says it all better than I can :) But in short you can fund your Binance account which is a Standard Bank account from your bank account. Best thing is if you want your funds in instantly for example you can use instant pay from a number of the banks (I used FNB and it reflected on Binance within 15-20 minutes).

Current trading pairs that are available are: BTC/ZAR, BNB/ZAR, ETH/ZAR, USDT/ZAR, and BUSD/ZAR

The volumes are low BUT its literally been live the last 2 hours.

2 Other really cool features and something I haven't seen available on any other SA exchange is the ability to buy on your credit card (IN ZAR - NOT USD/EUR etc!), one option is VISA Now and the other is Simplex. Used both of these as well and worked great! Please note there are obviously fees involved here as with any other exchange that offers this feature but you are buying in ZAR not USD. So when things heat up and you want in on the action and an EFT might be to slow this is definitely an option. (Also if it wasn't obvious this will also give you CC rewards as its CC spend so enjoy them ebucks/ucount/greenbacks or whatever you get). As an FYI on this point every transaction I did using a CC I needed my FNB OTP for extra security.

VISA Now info:

Simplex Info:

Here are the fees as well: https://www.binance.com/en/fee/schedule which if you are acquainted with other SA exchanges are very competitive.

I am not Binance support just giving my initial experience of the exchange which has been great. If you have questions please reach out to them: https://www.binance.com/en/support-center

Lastly have fun but please note as with any Crypto or trading for that matter there are risks involved so please be careful and do your own research.

Enjoy something fun to try out during lock down and the ability to make something extra potentially!

If you want my ref ID PM me - not purpose of thread

Thanks, good info. I'll definitely be making use of this. Not your referral code, but the funding methods.

Cant believe my other thread was deleted seriously anyone trading crypto in SA would be interested in this anyway enjoy

Sneakily punting a referral link and advertising a website. Whether you have 5 or 2000 posts, makes no difference if you start off with use my referral link and attempt to punt a website in the form of a "review". You could have posted a review of the website without the referral link, it is in bad taste and sneakily done.

I have ZERO sympathy for people that post spam or referral links.Referral link stands to benefit you, and you alone.

Apologies - noted for the future.

So does it allow you to trade crypto without a multiplier (can't remember what's it is called but forex sites just lovesss these)?

And? Why not make somebody else's life better. Doesn't affect you in the slightest.

Yeah no !

I checked out the website he gets fat commission for every sale from people that used his referral link to sign up.His post was at NO point to review the website but to punt the referral exclusively, his post was sneakily done to hide that fact. The odds of posting a "review" of the website without the referral would have been next to none.

In fact he is still punting to send the referral link via PM message, which means he still has a reason to post a "review".
Rewards for doing absolutely nothing, yeah no.!

Moaning aside, this is pretty damn cool as I only trade on Binance.

  • Phase 1: Deposits and Trade - With immediate effect, Binance users are now able to deposit Rands (ZAR) into their Binance wallet and trade in the five trading pairs above.
[*]Phase 2: Withdrawals - From 9 April @6am (UTC+2), Rand (ZAR) fiat withdrawals will be enabled for all Binance users.
    [*]
If I can withdraw directly, goodbye local exchange accounts. Though I can imagine local exchanges trying to stall them however they can. Can't imagine why anyone would still bother trading locally after this.

The irony is this section has rules and I quote:

The Rule:

1.) No referral links by new members.

It says new members I broke nothing here. @saor this is the rule from your thread.

The review specifically points out what sets Binance apart from other local exchanges everyone knows how exchanges work I pointed out the differences..

On that note @morkhans may I share it again?

Do they have to comply with South African crypto laws now ? Didn’t they want to add new laws regarding crypto and exchanges handing over user information?

If that’s the case then I’m moving my crypto to another exchange .

I don’t believe there are any SA crypto laws.

But the good exchanges try to conform to international money laundering laws so that they are prepared for when regulation does happen.

In such a case your information would only be shared if you are flagged under KYC, which would mean you have to he a political person of interest or under sanctions etc; not every Tom,Dick and Harry.

Thank f**k I read the title wrong.
