So I'm gonna take a brave step and Flash my BIOS later today, I'm doing it via CD (no stiffy drive available) so if anyone has done this before leave some tips if you can. This is the last resort in order to get my monitor to work properly.

Thanks Bud!
I got all that info. However, they talk about floppy updation.
there is a site with cd instructions just wanted to know if it's as effective. Don't wanna screw up another board hahahaha

Are Asus the only ones who allow you to update the BIOS from the BIOS?

I think Gigabyte also allow that type/method of update @Quik. Haven't updated a foxconn tbh so I can't say. Maybe there's a couple of guys here who oc foxconn's. They might be able to help too.

the world is filled with them and this forum is no exception, but I am not one.

you will notice that my posts are generally constructive.

Hahahaha, Sorry never meant any offence by it. Just that you were the first one to doom me there, hahaha. The advice has been taken though, thanks!:D

Ok i get to the boot screen but it keeps telling me that SOURCE file not found :( I;m booting from CD and it hangs up with at the saving of the old BIOS

Check your jumpers dude. Your jumpers could be set to write protected (2-3) mode instead of 1-2. If all else fails, give me a shout.

EDIT: After thinking about this for another 5 seconds, I think your machine is trying to back up the old bios to the disc, which won't be possible until you boot into dos or something that can write in Juliet (?) mode for cd's.

Guys correct/shoot me down on this one.

umm what are you trying to save the old bios to, if booting from cd no writing software available so skip the saving part

When trying to skip it just says source file not found. I'm getting ready to steal a floppy for this one, hahaha.
Whenever I select No it doesn't wanna go further

Rather maar go the stiffy route boet. Looks like it going to cause the least heartache...
