BIS completely dead - anyone else?

In East London - everyone around me on Vodacom BIS and MTN BIS have nothing working on their Blackberry's.

Anyone else?

Vodacom in Sandton area as well

This is not related to the SEACOM failure. If I turn off GSM on my Torch and only have the WIFI on (connected to Telkom/Saix ADSL over SAT3) I still get no BBM/APP/FACEBOOK/TWITTER action on the phone. Probably a RIM/BIS issue.

I doubt you will on just wifi. When I tried using my bb overseas on wifi hardly anything worked.

Yes, but dont the networks here connect the the BB servers in the States/Canada (wherever they are) via Seacom??

I think its the BB link to Canada thats the problem.

Propably...but I am certain they have fall back on SAT-3

Could very well be. Not sure if the MNO's have got redunancy with Eassy.
