We all know the different stages of load shedding, and how many watts needs to be shed and all that...

Is the DURATION of the various levels of load shedding all the same? i.e. 2.5 hours? Or does it get longer for stage 3 or 4?

I can't remember now

I think the duration stays the same it's just more frequent.

So for me, Stage 1 might be from 10:00 - 12:30 but then Stage 2 would be 10:00 - 12:30 AND 18:00 - 20:30

I've heard stories of people being loadshedded for four straight hours. How they manage is beyond me...

I'm shed for 3 hours at a time regardless of the stage.

Will just sometimes not be shed at all at stage 1.

Some municipalities have a changing schedule based on the day of the month (Ekurhuleni for example)

Some have fixed ones. At home its 10am to 12:30, so we never get shed if stage 2 or stage 1 comes in the afternoon, while others in slot 16:00 and later get cut much more frequently. no really fair.
