Thanks for the feedback. Good to hear.
The downsides so far seems to be:
- Low tolerance throttling
- No after hours support
- Port forwarding is a mission
Unless I'm missing something
I'm sure I can get by, even with the FUP. With ADSL out of the question, my options are limited.
I see they open on the 5th. Now to wait 2 weeks...
Correct. I can't wait till Monday as I want to upgrade my 5Mbps to 10Mbps![]()
I have also been having the same issue, especially with destiny. Anytime before 6pm I can forget about playing destiny as I will get kicked back to load screen or orbit all the time. I have an open support ticket about this for a few weeks now. So far nothing has happened because support is assuming that because I don;t have a public ip yet I can't implement the necessary port forwarding as suggested by all PS4 and destiny forums.
Each and every instance that I have had issue with Destiny, I have switched to my 3g connection and not had any problems so therefore I think that I can say with some degree of certainty that this is a BitCo issue.
Add to that, right now I have been disconnected 5 times over the past 2 days for periods ranging from 2 to 5 minutes and now also experiencing bad lag in World of Warcraft (as I can't play destiny) for longer and longer periods of time.
Add to that the lack of support (yes I know Mike, you said it is coming in 2015) for home users outside of working times and I am seriously getting frustrated with something that looked really good on paper and sounded really good with all the crap that the sales person told me that is actually not true.
So, right now, really frustrated and disappointed.
Has Destiny been optimised on Bitco or not yet?
Anyone asked Garth to have a look at it for you? I know they did it for WoW.
a 5mbps burstable to 10mbps
So it's R1500 for a 5mbps
My connection just died, 4th time in 2 weeks where it randomly just drops connection and stays down for a long time.
Posting this from my ADSL line which is supposed to be cancelled end of this month but I'm considering not cancelling it.
BitCo, what is going on, you promise a 99% uptime without a 24/7 helpdesk for your consumers?
And now it's back up...
Storms?
Had a massive hail storm yesterday afternoon. Though my connection never dropped. It does normally when there is heavy thunderstorms but then only for around 10 minutes then it's up again.
Nope, no storms or any funny weather at the time.
THAT bad, huh? That's very disappointing and kind of a dealbreaker.

So today I have another odd situation, not FUP'd but I have 20-30ms + latency local.
Restarted router, switch, dish, no luck.
I normally avg around 4-8ms ping and my local games average around 12-16ms. I'm trying to play Quake Live now with a 30-40ms ping.
What is going on guys?
