hi guys
quick question as to why bitco doesn't use gigabit equipment for wired connections, i know its not going to do much for my internet connection but for my home network its got to be a must now isn't?

You always have the choice of using your own router.
 
O, so Bitco Techs have been and no LOS is possible, it seems that I sit in the dish of tree heaven, great news for lungs, bad news for Netflix :-(, but in the process of ordering my second adsl line for the home
 
Soaking .........still soaking..............skin peeling off , getting bored and some more soaking.............overkill.

Lol, lucky you, I gotta wait till the 19th of March for my LOS test/install.. 3 weeks + 2 weeks since i applied. :cry:

If Bitco would flick the switch i should be doing the same thing tonight.............been soaking for 3 and 1/2 days!:confused:
600m from the tower with a signal consistently at -50dbm with a crystal clear line of sight!

Why would they not install after finding LOS??? I was told that I have LOS, but they can't install, because they have to report to office first?? Everyone I know got theirs installed after LOS was found. Can someone please assist?

Yep they need to check with HQ because it may not be viable still
 
Hi can anyone assist me with the cisco switch?? It seems eskom reset it to default factory settings for me?? And bitco is closed over the weekend

Soaking for 4 1/2 days,was informed that the link would go live last night or first thing this morning!

Still nothing!
 
A little bit of good news the link is now active, the speeds and stability are awesome however I don't have access to the router, so there not much i can do with this "awesome" connection!!:mad:

Just ask them for the router details?
 
Right, if you want something done.......................... do it yourself, access to router accomplished.

All setup ..............will give feed back in the near future, but so far I am leaning towards Pitbulls words " best internet I've ever had":)
 
My internet dropped at 09h00 this morning... Does anyone else have connectivity issues on Helderkruin tower?
Back to normal now at 18H30. :) :) :)

Very glad to hear you are connected!
Sorry about the delay with handover, our infrastructure team is very process driven and unless they are completely satisfied with a link they wont hand over.....SOAK.....SOAK....&...SOAK some more

Typically soak is around 48 hours but can take up-to 7 days as each time an adjustment is make the process starts again.

I can see on your link 2 adjustments had been made prior to hand over but now its 100% perfect so enjoy!

if you still struggling with router or network access send a mail to [email protected] and a technical representative will assist you
