BitCo Consumer Review

I finally got to the end of the rope with Telkom and have decided to try Bitco. Got a call from them earlier today confirming 13 Jan for site inspection and hopefully installation.

Just one question to current customers regarding DNS settings. I know Garth has posted on a few occasions that it's best to set the DNS at device level rather than on the router, but I have a Roku which doesn't support device level DNS settings. Are any of you using a Roku on Bitco with router based DNS settings? Any issues in this regard?

No, on a Roku it will need to be on the router side. Bitco will assist with that if needed like in your case.

Thanks, have replied.

Dear rajiv,

Thanks for the compliment and constructive feedback. We have PM’d you for your account details so that we can view your usage graph internally and confirm what you have been receiving. You should be receiving 2Mbps down which is equal to 250Kb/s and not 300Kb/s :)

Not anymore. Set it up on your router, also take note that for Netflix to work on your Roku you have to setup the static routes for 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

Hi all,

Would someone with experience with bitco and netflix/hule + unotelly who has a few moments to spare please pm me. I would be very grateful if we could chat please.

Thank you

Hi guys
Any news on faster packages for the Home Internet Packages? I need a faster connection for 4k streaming :)

Thanks in advance

A little birdie told me that in the new year new speeds are being launched.
The new link speeds are being tested currently to ensure good speeds and quality before launching the products.

So impressed with my connection :D

Never had such a stable connection, which just works as it should. Streaming radio and video, and can still carry on with work.

But now it's forcing me to buy a 3rd monitor so I don't have to have the video streaming in a window :p

Tell me about it. Only play PS3 about 2 hours a week, and now when I'm desperate to play GT6 the PSN network is down
