So the question if their fooprint is this big why are we struggling to get fibre installed as residents from other vendors.

Because it's not a true reflection of where their fiber is available. It's a reflection of where they could, possibly, deploy fiber (and I even doubt that, to be honest).

They (and most others) do this to make the coverage look better than what it actually is. It is by no means, an accurate, nor true reflection of coverage. To put it bluntly, they are lying.

+1 i went and searched most of the popular isp I could google with fibre coverage maps and none have fibre in Lansdowne. had to fill in the let me know when it is available forms.

hopefully will show them that there is interest in the area.

doubt these guys have it. haven't even see cables being laid yet.

would think they`ll tap into DFA like everyone else. plumstead has fibre and looks to be live as well.

openserve(huawei) was splicing about a month ago

Even DFA, only covers a fraction of what is on that map... And even then, the actual network into the residential suburbs still needs to be built, it is not *ready for service*
