Bitcoin Talk

Did not say the API does the confirmation nor did I say blockchain.info is the bitcoin authority. What I said was is that bitx does not work in the conventional way.

You will not pick up your transaction because bitx does transactions in bulk.

It's easy to verify, use the blockchain api or the website or tradeblock to view your bitx transaction and tell me what it looks like.

Do BitX/Luno hash all the transactions into a Merkle Tree root and then anchor it to the block chain?

Hi, there's two ways we process outgoing Bitcoin transactions:
1. We have a hot wallet that is a number of multi-sig addresses co-signed by BitGo. We use this for small sends that need to go out quickly. If you send less than 10 BTC in 24 hours, your send will be processed instantly from one of these multi-sig addresses, it's typically not batched.
2. For larger sends or if you're sending more than 10 BTC in 24 hours, we process transactions from cold storage a few times during the day. Large sends are batched together in a single Bitcoin transaction, but it's a normal transaction and you can see it on the Blockchain with lots of inputs and outputs. If your transaction is included in one of these batches, one of the outputs will be your target address.

We don't hash the transactions into a Merkle Tree root, unless maybe I'm misunderstanding you.

You guys have two MyBB accounts...?

Lunomoney is our official account yes, sorry about the confusion... This is my (one of the Luno engineers as Lunomoney says) personal account I used to answer questions in another thread some time ago.

question for the engineers, is it possible to add a section on the website or app that shows interesting BTC statistics?
like hash rate/BTC coins minted? difficulty level? or other such info?

I think that's more miner pool specific info that isn't always relevant to the BTC price as such. I've linked in some interesting ones below that I have bookmarked :)

We've also launched a super cool price page that you might find interesting too.
