that's literally every bull run btw, there's always a sense that "this is the one!", "to the moon!"

and of course it has been wrong every time, or rather the idea is flawed ... the path to the moon is not linear and does not come without massive drops

I rode the rollercoaster down from $68k all the way to $17k, never sold, and here we are at $82k, which is great, but my original position is only up 20% and I most definitely expect more big drops along the way

like mentioned here already: if you're in it for short term profit, take the profit now, if you're willing to hodl long term, then do that, but know you need a strong stomach for that
 
Now 30% up since I started to DCA in March. Very tempting to take profit.

But I'm in for the longterm and won't sell. Treating it like an RA.

The temptation will be severe, though, when my profit value gets to something that can, say, settle my bond and cover the CGT. Will cross that bridge one day in the distant future.

Start getting nervous when scales indicate extreme greed.
 
just sell a little bit each time, take the profits, then if it all crashes back to whatever then it's not so bad
