So I started trading on Bitmex with real money just now. Used 25x leverage for a couple trades and scalped some BTC. The price just needs to move around $15 for a 10% profit. So per trade with 0.1 BTC I made 0.01 BTC in a few minutes. Did a few of those trades whilst it was quiet. At 25x leverage the liquidation price was around $130 below my buy price. So risk/reward seems ok. I wouldn't do anything above in a hurry.
Fees are also really low. 0.025% for maker and 0.075% for taker. That's just a $1 fee if maker at $4000.

Lol, actually there is some truth to that - greed gets the best of us. Reason I did not get in was coz i waited to short at the top most top. Got busy and missed it and when I realized we were already dropping. And I was not about to chase the price.
Personally I don't need BTC to get to 20k or 100k. As long as it is volatile - and does not bore us with prolonged paint drying sideways movement - then money can be made even at 3k.

I can also draw lines on a graph and imply they actually mean somethingTarget roughly hit. I'm back in again now with another Bitcoin in the bag. This one is destined for Bitmex to start the real trading next week. BTC could still drop more but after this large drop there are too many buyers coming in on Luno and the sell order book is getting too thinned out.

You can also ignore his posts rather than the unnecessary snark. We're all just having fun here regardless of how accurate TA is. Don't know man. If they check my posts in just the last 5 pages or so, they'd see I was right fairly often, for decent sized moves too. Haven't been online for a couple days because was away for a boys weekend with no decent internet.
The lines are Fibonacci retracement levels and are fairly useful to see if we're going up or down. Usually can scalp a few quick trades when the price is close to a fib level as the price tends to bounce from them. Have been doing that on Bitmex today with small $10 trades @ 25x leverage. Short when just below the fib or long when just above. Then take profit each time and repeat. Several of those trades add up quick.
My Bitmex account. Just scalping so far. Need to figure out how to change the timezone as the 3rd and 4th is actually today's trading.

Thanks man. I also just moved all my BTC to Bitmex. Realized today that I can't trade both on Luno and Bitmex at the same time and I can make quick profit on Bitmex in both directions when the price is moving fast. So it's pointless keeping BTC on Luno when I could be using it to trade. Will be doing bigger trades on Bitmex (5% of balance). End of the Luno era for me.
