I was regretting getting out early but it seems price is back where I sold. 12200 range - nice.

I wish I had gone with my instinct and sold when we crossed 13 300. I would be buying back in around now though.

I bought in again at 12750, so right now my poephol in knyping!!! My HODL game is strong though, so happy to wait it out if we do trace back a little in the short term.

Always trust your instinct. And the way the market is so choppy right now - people will get in and end up giving back all their gains back to the market.

So what do you guys do to transfer relatively large sums of money off Luno?
I'm assuming the best way to stay under the radar is to transfer, say, R20K a month or so to your bank account.

Last time I checked it was something like, you pay Capital Gains Tax on anything over R40,000/annum gained. Can't remember the % amount or whether that's since changed though.

Anyone using Electrum for their wallets beware of the malware version - I nearly got tricked into installing the fake version last night

Yup every time I go against my instinct I lose. Usually I know it's gonna tank but then get impatient and buy in just before it tanks.

Transfer normally? It's only if SARS gets wind through other means that they may get a court order for your bank statements in which case it wouldn't matter how you spread out your transfers.

Been thinking about my objective thumbsuck prediction..... Yesterday i was right.
So today...... before the sun rises again..... mmm ..... A low of +- 169K and a high just over 200K

Bitmex is BS when things get busy. How many billions of dollars must they have made in fees by now and they still can't upgrade their platform to cope with fast movements. They should get rid of the shytecoins and other useless contracts till they get BTX right.

I hope we hang around here for a while or maybe even go lower again.

Any lump sum above R50k needs to be reported by the institution as per FICA.

Not really sure if indeed there is a control / cross check on these proceeds, and to be honest it won't make a difference unless you are running a money laundering operation.

Looking at CGT/TAX: Luno has acknowledged that the are actively complying with SARS, so you will have to pay tax in some form sometime in the future.

Nooooo Sam, we buy together we die together bro!!! hahahaha. Did you sell off what you bought the other morning, already? You and I bought right at about the same time. Have faith my son! HOLD that bitch

hahah na dont want to lose money now ...i have little left that im holding onto

if it drops down i will buy again :)

Capital Gains tax is currently 18 f***ing percent.
Not a chance I'm paying that, the Government can lick my balls.

Thats a similar thing to one of my friends who made lotsa dough selling watch faces on the Samsung store.

SARS got hold of him and ripped him and his bank account a new one

What if someone transfers R200k to Luno and then withdraws R200k a few days later? In and out from bank account is the same so no tax I assume? So do we need to declare that transfer in and out?
