Dear Trader,

It has come to our attention that there are discrepancies in the balances pertaining to Bitcoin and Litecoin we hold on the platform. After consultation and deliberation with our partner Merkeleon.com and their subsidiary Coinspaid.com, we have not been able to reach a satisfactory conclusion. On the advice of our legal & auditing team, we have suspended all Deposits & Trading. Furthermore, we have suspended BTC (bitcoin) and LTC (litecoin) withdrawals with immediate effect, pending the outcome of a full investigation and reconciliation. This is being done for the protection of all clients.

Currently, clients who hold any other currency (excluding Bitcoin & Litecoin) on the platform will be still able to withdraw their funds.

We urge you to do so as soon as possible.

Should the domain/email/service desk become unavailable as a result of 3rd party actions, we will engage via our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/ICE3X

We apologize for the inconvenience caused and will update you with progress throughout.

ICE3X have had little to no volume for a long time. Fractional reserve kicking them in the butt now that people try to withdraw their balances to hold long term.

I don't buy their story that they just suddenly figured out they don't have all the coins to cover all balances.

Any legit exchange will have auditing done every minute if not more frequent.
 
I registered an account there, but never used them.

Eeek, so Discovery won't charge me a USD conversion fee, but it's still an international payment which will still attract the relevant fee?

no the key here is your annual forex allowances you are capped at R1m under a SDA and R10m under an FIA (TCC needed)
This is a SARB(not sars) thing

Lol we were bordering on breaking below the bull market trend line a few hours ago. That's called buying the dip when it crashes from $61,800 to $55K.

Just trying to help people make money. $HBAR is already up 16% since I bought 3 hours ago.
 
I read into hbar a few months ago and it all seemed a bit centralised and their claims always seemed shady. Although, they've seen a huge increase in big corporate interest of late, so who knows?
 
I'm thinking of selling some Alts and buying more BTC for a short term pump, so I've been trying to find out if these unrealised profits from the sale of my Alts will count as realised income from SARS' perspective.

I have tried asking, but they're absolutely useless and no two people have the same answer.

If I'm deemed to be 'trading', converting ADA to BTC for instance, is the profit realised immediately, or only when I cash out to ZAR?

If SARS does a similar job with Crypto as Customs does with imports, the next few years could be an absolute sh1tsh0w.

Yes. But nobody at Sars has a clue how crypto works even with sending out "auditing" letters to people so some interesting times ahead.
