Wow this is going down quicker than I thought, shame for those who bought in at at $9700 last night, mercy bounce coming up though later I think

and the daily chart is not pretty -- bearish engulfing candle if it close below 8900

that would spell few more days of red

Long weekend coming up, for those interested in learning TA, I highly, highly recommend checking out the training videos of PhilakoneCrypto. Has saved me a lot of money and has also made ridiculously accurate calls many times. Unfortunately, I don't play most of them because of this damn day job.

it is somehow satisfying to watch bitcoin buy walls get smashed one after the after....

Needs to break through that top line now. Around $9020.

So a very “scary” situation just happened to my fiancé. She called me in a panic saying she just lost R100k!!! She put a sell order in at R112500 but missed a “1” and saw the coin sell at R12500... she didn’t look correctly before shouting out words but in reality it sold for R112498 (so there were fees but a lot better than R100k). At least she learned her lesson to triple check and not panic sell

So my question is how does Luno know that was a mistake? Or does it just sell your coin at whatever the current price is on the exchange? So you could put a sell order at R1 for 1 BTC but it will still sell at say R100k if thats what the exchange amount is at the given time?

matches the order to the closest price -- keeps you safe that way

at any giving time there is a bid price and offer price. as soon as you enter higher or lower by mistake it will match to the closest available bid or offer

It's fairly useful when the price is moving fast. Can just put in a price higher or lower and instant buy/sell.

Yeah I just thought of that now cause a lot of tones when price is moving quick we put a buy or sell order in and by the time it gets in the price has changed so then we cancel and start over.

So in the future can we just put our buy or sell price at R1 and it will go thru the next available and charge a fee? The fee seems min when the price changes by over R1k (for example) or it not that simple as just putting your buy / sell price at R1?

Rather sell a few hundred under if you have to. Glitches can happen and if you, by some serious malfunctions in the system sell for R1, that's no ones fault but your own.

That should work. I normally just put a price a few thousand above or below if I want to instant buy/sell. It might work differently if the price is too far off. i.e. Luno might flag too high or too low prices as an error.

There's the breakthrough. Think it might get close to around $9.4k this time before another trip back down.
