nearly 7hrs later still no confirmations.

I feel sorry for anyone who tried to do low transaction payment when I did high transaction paymentx2 and still not a single confirmation.

Blows serious goats.

Not interested in binance margin trading. The moment I saw you need to do full KYC I just decided I don't need yet another place with all my documents. I guess Bitmex will be the number 1 margin trading platform for some time.

Speaking of Bitmex - interesting new developments coming up Screen Shot 2019-07-02 at 1.28.52 PM.png

Upperhand that Bitmex have vs other exchanges trying to catch up. Arthur and his team is experienced bankers who understands these products they are pushing well. Now whether this is better for them than for the traders is up for debate.

There is NO fking chance in hell I would loan out a single satoshi to any crypto business. The space is way way too early and every single current business have a greater chance of failing than succeeding, no thanks.

I will still just stick to BTC margin trading since if done right that is where the real profit remains vs these possibly lower risk MUCH lower return instruments.

There are already companies/altcoins that focus on this very thing, providing loans. Salt, Ethlend, Nexo and a recent find - celcius network. The average joe that comes to crypto and cannot trade will be lured in to "loan" out his crypto and get extra cash - the pitch will be, how would you like your crypto in your wallet to increase without you doing any work. With a return thats higher than what the banks will give you. Infact most of the scammers that call me, all try to sell me something that will beat just sitting on that money or anything the banks may offer in terms of savings.

As for margin trading - bitmex still continues to be the most liquid. Exchange is not the prettiest but it gets the work done in most cases - and even in that arena there are already new exchanges looking to steal a piece of that pie i.e primexbt and deribit. Binance will go far with margin trading but the fact that they are shutting down the US from most of the tokens trading and I presume margin trading too. Liquidity will just not be there as everyone else is on Mex.

The catch with interest is that longterm it CANNOT work. If they promise interest paid in USD then it can work but these companies claim interest in BTC. How will they magically print more BTC than possible to exist ?

This is why its a huge red flag when these companies promise interest in BTC , it is impossible to do longterm just because BTC cap does not work with earning interest.

Sounds like Bitconnect.

BIT-KO-NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEKT!!!

Missed out on some good profits today. Bought that pullback at $9900 50x, expecting the $9800 area to hold, but got stopped out on that wick just below $9700 before it pumped.

By the way cloudflare was down today and took with it quite a number of sites and services i.e discord, coindesk - some parts of coinbase, bitfinex and poloniex. Ironically even DownDetector - the site one goes to to check if a site is down - was also down. Centralization is being laid bare.

That wick caught me out too - I then blinked and it had pumped. Have turned into a scalper lately so will wait for a retrace.

Have anyone tried to use capitec card to fund Cex.io? I keep on getting "rejected". Cex says I need to contact the bank, but the card works fine on other exchanges.

Which other exchanges do you buy crypto with your card?

My Capitec CC worked fine.

Probably Binance etc.

I better call them then.
They don't officially support purchasing crypto like that so I'd rather not call them if I were you.

What is important to note is that purchasing any type of cryptocurrency from a non-South African entity using a debit or credit card, directly or indirectly with your Global One or any other card by means of a virtual account, is not permitted as such transactions do not form part of the permitted transactions stipulated in the Currency and Exchanges manual of the South African Reserve Bank (SARB). You should therefore refrain from doing these transactions with your Global One card.
