No because alot of crypto is driven by hype. DO NOT BUY THE NEWS
ABSOLUTELY. Don't forget that even for btc, there are market makers - if only because they are whales and whenever they have to buy or sell, they obviously have an effect on prices. On the other side of the court as it were are the journalists and the talking heads. Even with no malice intended, they are making a living out of headlines (and that is much more honest a living than Cheri & Co ever does) and headlines have to change or no-one opens the article. The more closely aligned a website, magazine or supplement is aligned to crypto MARKETS, the less attention to pay to the news it has.
With only a short time having followed btc, it is the most stimulating market there is because it is in its Wild West stage of development. Parallels with Wall Street in the early 20th Century are wonderful and they play out in less than a day.
@Tenujin's clip is just wonderful because it is so real; you can drive yourself nuts watching too many charts and lose all your money in a flash. [PS to drop off to sleep I spend a short while looking at 10 minute charts

Not BTC but worth a mention. A pretty huge step for African banking. Today Standard Bank partnered with with Hedera Hashgraph to use their blockchain services to simplify cross border payments. Hedera is on Binance - $HBAR.
Oops I bought the news and made an easy few thousand $. $HBAR up 2.5X since this in 16 days. Anyone else buy in after the Standard bank announcement?
I wonder why HBAR is not available in any local exchanges despite the big news.

You're clearly very new at this. Just hodl BTC and don't attempt day trading.
Not doing day trading at the moment. Just observing and taking baby steps. Thinking of buying some XRP in VALR and transferring them to Binance to buy HBAR.
Why not just do a swift payment from your online banking directly to Binance?

I would not advise buying much $HBAR as it has pumped a lot recently. If you're new to the market I would stick with the safer options with like BTC, DOT, LINK, UNI, ADA which are less volatile when there is chaos. ADA and LINK look ready for another leg up soon.
I heard transferring XRP is cheaper? I know that Credit/Debit cards are expensive.
