Bitcoin Cash did exactly that. They just simply increased the block size and fees are low (and security less). It's not a tech advance.
Is BCash used to the same extend? Also is it the same price per unit?

Tell me what "better things" does permissionless decentralised transfers better than blockchain?
We have smartchains and shards already. Bitcoin simply chooses to lump everything together in one. Not because it makes sense but because it is too slow moving.

Smartchains and shards are built on blockchain technology. So you're saying blockchain is the thing that's better than blockchain.

I'm saying Bitcoin is relying on outdated tech. Even Doge is more recent and no, lightning network isn't a tech advance but just a plaster still trying to catch up with the same limitations. Saying that recent developments are still the same thing is like saying a butterfly is still the same as a caterpillar.

Doge is not more recent. It is 100% based on the Bitcoin code and not even the latest code.

Changing a few symbols doesn't make something more recent. Besides for Segwit and an extra 1MB block there's literally nothing new to Bitcoin.

Why fix something that isn't broken. Besides, that's nonsense. There are plenty BIPs approved in the last year to BTC's code. If any developer anywhere thinks they can improve something in the code they can submit an improvement proposal on Github.

So where is the blockchain different now? I too can change the code of my miner. It doesn't mean Bitcoin has suddenly undergone a change.

And it's stupid to say that it shouldn't be fixed, there's plenty of things that's broken with Bitcoin.

Wrong again. Taproot started signalling this week. It is a major upgrade.

Literally everything you've said so far about cryptocurrencies are wrong.

BTC and ETH correcting in the next few days? ETH seems overbought.

Watching the reddit threads it's like a huge circle jerk. Everybody is patting themselves on the back that they did it HODLing ETC. And that they should just keep on HODLing now. Nowhere is it entering any of their minds that they are sitting with an asset that they can never use for the value they hold or it becomes worthless.

Nobody is interested in determining a fair value where it can be traded and used. It is not about utility at all which they use to claim it has value. We still have a long way to go to grow out of this greed.

It's not 2014 anymore. Bitcoin is not as small as you think. You can sell millions of dollars of Bitcoin a day and not affect the price. Even in South Africa. The volume of traded Bitcoin is larger than Tesla. So is Tesla also something that can never use for the value they hold? You're just a Bitcoin/crypto hater blowing smoke.

Is it worth getting an old rig back up and running? The rig in question has 6 galax 1080 exoc 8GB cards?

Or I was thinking it’s best just to split and sell?

I never argued against any of those.
