Where do you guys buy your BTC using card these days and why? What are charges like? Ta!

Never used them. I have accounts at Luno and Altcointrader and Binance. What are Celcius fees like and no issues with them and our banks or SARS?
*EDIT* just looked. Please tell me I don't have to buy USDC LMAO

Are you being serious?

Guys, just to be crystal clear, Celcius is barely staying afloat here at the moment. I would strongly urge people not to have money on that platform.

They are trying to raise as much capital as they can, but they have a huge margin call at BTC 14K which could possibly liquidate them.

And I think BTC could go to 10-14k without breaking a sweat.

It won't link properly. T=6min

personally I don't use card for that, charges tend to be high unless it's a promotional period like some years ago Crypto.com waived all fees and Saffas were arbitraging like mad with their cards

having said that, if you insist, both Luno and Valr offer card options these days

Can't use cards internationally anymore. Just eft to luno or valr

This. I got a cease and desist email and phonecall from discovery Bank lol.

No more crypto miles for me.
Well card for crypto has been "blocked/illegal" for a while now.

International swifts 100% legal though. So you if you doing 50k plus then go Euro to kraken rather.

Luno & Valr card options are domestic though, so can still be used

the fees are just high, so yes, EFT is the way especially with local exchanges where it will still be relatively fast, yet virtually free (aside from the fee you pay your bank that is)

an aside; tested cards with insignificant amounts recently on eToro: Capitec blocks it, SBSA didn't block it

Luno all the way then.

Takes a day to clear but not a problem depending how you fund.
if you happen to also bank with SBSA like Luno, or you do a priority EFT from your bank, it should take less than a day to clear in general

the way the current market is going nuts however that extra day to think about things might be a saving grace for most of us :X3:

Careful your bank account not card can be blocked by SARB if you mess around with this, it might not be immediate but many months after the fact and just bear in mind that the responsibility lies with you not the bank.

Priority EFT just be in within a few hours if not minutes

Yeah and those priority EFT’s also cost money.

Safest way is to fund it once a month and not succumb in between. And also never to look at the charts.

Interesting suggestion thanks. Why Euro and why Kraken? What's your opinion on their liquidity versus USD to FTX or Binance?
