I am looking for any suggestions.

we have a bizhub c451 and used it for scan to email. worked fine on capped account. Now went over to a uncapped IS account. now i cannot scan to email. connection errors. checked the ip address of the smtp. looks fine and pings from the device fine.

any ideas.

Have you put the dns settings into the machine right?
Have they changed from caped to uncaped?

i have put dns in. the capped account was via saix. the new account is via isdsl and it is an uncapped account. strange thing is the c350 works fine. just a issue with the newer unit.

Is it BDSL (Business DSL) with Fixed IPs? or is it one of the cheap uncappeds?

The IS BDSL Network doesn't allow relay through smtp.isdsl.net

Also you haven't mentioned setting up the Gateway Address? have you done this?

Good point, I skipped over that part... Perhaps you have enabled SSL? I'm not 100% sure but i doubt IS's relay is capable of SSL...

What error codes are you getting in the log?

Pulling at straws now, but could this be a IPv4/v6 conflict? because it sounds like everything is setup properly...

Maybe your Router is Dropping traffic on Port25 for the New Device, and the Old Device has an allow rule for its IP address?

-- Come to think of it, this situation would normally only occur in a BDSL environment... my bad.

both units run on the same lan, smtp is port 25 on both units. I rechecked the settings on the older unit and they are the same.
stumped at the moment.

You can try resetting the network settings on the machine and then re-input all the settings into the bizhub I have had a few machines that when something changed they show the new settings but for some reson they dont work and I have done a reset and then re-input the settings exactly the same and it then works.
