So, here is another release of the COD series. press releases has it that this will have dedicated servers and modding tools from day one.

From what I am aware of if you placed a pre-order you can start playing the game today. Has anyone started playing yet? How is it?

Got my pre-order this morning but haven't been home yet to play :)

I pre-ordered on Steam - Downloaed 49GB starting on Wednesday - finally finished last night. VERY keen to get home and start pwning nubs.

I'm not super optimistic as I read it's apparently horribly optimised, when using a Titan X for testing they found it using 8GB of VRAM

Interesting.
My son has been nagging me to buy it but I told him to wait.
If it's not well optimized for pc then he may battle to run it.

I was ready to play and seeing as it doesn't look very different from say BF4, which I played everything turned on and up at 60FPS, I thought I would at least be able to do medium settings, just checked a YouTube video and the guy had basically the same specs as me, everything turned off and on low and it looks unplayable.

Anyone know anything about the retail version?? I dont have the bandwidth to DL 50gb

Strange. I played the Beta and it ran 100% on full gfx. I have a 770ti with I7 49xx variant (not sure) with 16GB Dominator platinum RAM.

Going to be picking my game up this evening! cannot wait for a 50gig download!

how so? im buying the Media from BT Games which means i dont have to do the full 50gig download?

Seems they broke something along the way, if you read the Steam forums you won't find one happy person, I've read people saying the beta ran fine and they upgraded their systems since the beta and now the final version is running worse on faster hardware.

The developer has already stated there are issues they are actively looking into and apparently if you have a 60hz monitor, you can try enabling Vsync and setting your FPS Cap to 58 which some have reported better results.

Edit: Also this hilarious review:

When i was 6 years old, my uncle came over and had a really cool board game. He told me it was the best game ever, and sold it to me for all my allowance I had been saving up from my parents.
Long story short, most of the pieces were missing and my uncle was addicted to meth and ripped me off. I've never felt like I did as a child that day until now. Thanks Treyarch.

Not sure whether I should get this...I enjoyed Advanced Warfare for a couple of months, but connection issues were frustrating(could hardly find any matches in certain game modes) and the player community was very immature(l lost count of how many times I was called noob/fag/camper, and how many times players f##### my mom). Also, not such a big fan of this whole 'supernatural' vibe going on with the Zombies mode. I understand Call of Duty lost its realism a long time ago, but really, demon-like things, super powers where you transform into an octopus-like thing and teleportation? Hmmm...
