Blackberry 8900 on MTN?

Blackberry Curve 8900 on MTN?

I am confused. :confused:

I was checking the latest phones out, looking at the Bold 9000, etc. when my beady eye picked out the Curve 8900 on MTN's site. Cool, and must be new, because going through the motions on www.blackberry.com (South Africa, then MTN) doesn't show the 8900 as available yet.

My local dealer (Autopage) tell me it is not on their list yet. Can anyone at MTN tell me what is going on, and when this little gem will be available from the relevant providers?

The 8900 is the new BB Curve - usually it launches a month or two after the BB Storm. As MTN has no Storm I think they will launch it very soon
 
they better launch it, I been waiting for the bold for ages now and i still havent gotten it, now i can cancel my order for the bold and go for the javelin aka 8900 :P
 
Quite right. The Curve 8900 has garnered fantastic reviews, and looks pretty awesome too. Definitely the (BB) phone to go for if you don't need 3G/HSDPA.
 
This is just awesome! I too have been waiting for this phone for a while now. Hopefully they release it soon. Does anyone have any idea when we can expect this?
 
Well surely it will be free with a MTN Anytime contract, like the Blackberry Bold is?

Update: I see Vodacom has the Curve 8900 on their list - about R2000 less than the Bold. (They also have the Storm - exclusive?) Just waiting for MTN to play catch up now.

Where did you see it?
I don't find it on the website....
