Hi guys!

Anyone got a clue as to when this phone will be available on contract from Vodacom?

I can't open the link. Is that on anytime 200 or 350? If it is on 200 I think it is too expensive

Thanks, that one works. Hmm, the torch is priced the same as the galaxy s if you subtract the bis. I think it should have been the same price including the bis. It is also the same as the iphone deal. In my opinion it is currently a bit over priced.

But that is just my opinion, it might still sell good because the bis is really awesome.

I have to admit this phone is pricey but with a buy-in of R120 x 24 works out to a good bargain at the end of business you get R200 airtime value +R120 =R320 per month its not compulsory taken out BIS.

I still think the SamSung Galaxy S is overpriced but a freaking lovely phone I wanna drawl over.

I doubt it will sell good, you can get the iPhone4G on Vodacom including 110meg and R275 airtime for R379 per month maybe that is a better deal at the end of business deal.... I will contact MTN and ask if they've anytime 100 package

Vodacom stock due to arrive on the 11th provided that there is no delay with customs etc. Add another 2 - 3 days for stock to be dispatched and delivered to stores.

Hey guys. I opted for the sgs over the torch. Now that i have it, i can see why it is currently regarded as the best phone. But i still think the bis makes the torch the best package. To sustain all my activities on this phone i need about a gig of data a month and then i still feel limited (i do allot of stuff on my phone). With the bb i dont have to worry about this stuff. Sure the internet isnt as fast as browsing with a databundle. But then you have to ask yourself if you really need all this extra power. I just wanted the sgs for the hd recording and video call.

Hey PhoneJunky, I would also get the SGS but have decided to get the Torch 9800 and probably at a later stage signup for the SGS, it is regarded as the best Android ever :) The BIS indeed is a brandplus if all mobile operators could do something like this then their would be some serious competition - I would go with SGS/HTC immediately -- just heard some guys/ladies spending over R200 per month on data alone cause of twitter, facebook, etc...

To use the internet the same on my sgs than i did on my bold i had to buy a 1 gig databundle. That is R300 just on data. You really should consider everything before you make the switch. I am thinking of getting the cellc sim and putting it into my phone.

I am going to consider wisely when making the switch maybe the best opttion would be to get the CELL C Mobile Internet promo and use that for a year or so.. Then take away R60 every month works out R150 which is a better deal at the end of business day
