Hi,

Does anyone know when the Blackberry 9900 will be available on MTN?

Thanks!

Hi J7J, Take some time out of your busy schedule and read each and every individual post many have said in October, but don't take their word for it it's all speculation at this time

Hi,

Has there been any news on the release date on MTN? Does anyone have any confirmation from MTN's side?

Thanks!

:-( I wonder why it is taking them so long...

Spoke to one chap at MTN Durban,he says first week October +- R349 pm Anytime R200,but the prices havent been loaded on their system (just a guess) but I sure dont trust that!

Price sounds wrong unless there's a large amort. Normally entry level contracts for high end phones are the Anytime R500 mark.

Hi,

I spoke to 2 guys at MTN Direct today - the first guy said the phone is in the testing phase and will only be released end of Oct.

The other guy said that the phone is in the final testing phase (at least the story is more or less the same) and has been in testing for the past TWO months (!). He doesn't know when MTN will release it to the market (this is if they do, as the results of the testing will determine whether they actually do!)

I don't actually know what to think of this?

The word from our corporate rep is October but they're in as much dark as we.

The phone is up for pre-order (well they ask for details and say they will contact you type thing) on the MTN page. Does anyone else find it strange that they say its in testing, but the BlackBerry rep is (and has been for a while now) walking around with his 9900 on MTN?

Nashuamobile already has it listed on their website under phones. I spoke to a lady from Nashua (I can finely upgrade) and she said its coming end of September.

hi all

have you checked the web about MTN and the Blackberry 9900 that all MTN customers are waiting for.

MTN was the 1st to note they will have this phone and would be available from June/July before Vodacom and others.

yet Vodacom Has it already and MTN NIGERIA has it from August yet every ******** at MTN South Africa's branch or office you call does not even know about this phone.

MTN get your act together and release it.

Wish i could get my works phone to go back to Vodacom....

This perfectly describes my feelings towards MTN, thank you Ededdie

Ja and every ******** that might have heard of it at MTN gives a different date. I land up doing a 24hr local search for it a couple times a day in case MTN finally pull their heads out their ass and release it. It's really getting annoying now.

congrats to all those lucky Vodacom customers who manage to get their 9900 (end of august 1st week Sept 2011).

and to all those lucky MTN Nigeira customers who got their 9900 (august 2011).

and sorry to all those MTN South Africa customers, who the F**K are you, just wait we will tell our consultants and release it locally, when we decide you are worthy.

that seems to be the satement when we try to get hold of MTN SA contact centre etc.

MTN just release the dam Blackberry 9900 for ****sake.

stop with the survey and crap.

And to think, they have the phone, network tested, all the need to do is release it, so sad
