Hi. Any one having problems on their blackberries? My MSN keeps on loosing its connection, my BBM messages seems to hang much more than usual where it will just have a little clock next to it and mails also seems to be slower? Could this have anything to do with BIS being upgraded to 3.1 or something? I have already resent service books. Seems to have started after that BIS downtime we had last week friday.

Just wondering.

No connectivity for most of the day, and then jumps between GSM and 3G. Not the same as you, but equally irritating...

Same thing here. I ended up using my wifi connection to surf and the speed was obviously up. So i think it does have something to do with BIS.

My trackpad goes crazy. Last week was going upside down to my finger directio, yesterday, almost whole day the trackpad only responded to pressing (to enter), no response to direction...

I've got 2 groups with 30 members and other 2 have 21 and 11 members respectively. I think my BBM chats are making it crazy.

It initially started having problems the long weekend.

My suspicion is water or humidity. No more toilet visits for my BB. :)

I think Ill pm VD and ask if there are any known issues on BIS that they are aware of.

Therea are always issues with Vodacom BB ... I can't even be bothered to point out anymore ; I simply SMS my BB contacts and check my mail on a PC.

I have had no issues whatsoever with BlackBerry BIS could also be network related. What I have noticed if your phone shows "GSM" do a battery pull, should revolve issues and also send the latest Service books by logging into your email setup once logged in Click on the BB button and you will notice service books...

I am on Vodacom,Vodacom for change have been stable. 5months ago complained everyday to Vodacom about the pathetic base station we had in our area.

Every night it would decide to bomb out from 8PM- until early hours of the morning took them over 2months to fix the fault.

Yes, I was an irritating customer basically the data support knew my name

When mine switches to GSM, or GPRS and I need 3G, I simply scan for available networks and just select either VC 2G or 3G, if needed. I say 'simply' in comparison to a battery pull. But having to scan for networks every now and then, especially in the middle of a downlaod, is extremely irritating.
