Blackberry as a modem?

Can I use a BB Curve as a modem? I see VC has a USB Smart Plug with drivers. Or perhaps the Via The Phone Connection Manager software? Is it worth trying?
 
normal data charges will apply.
Do you mean out or in bundle?
 
With bis on vodacom (the 69 rand a month service) do I pay for the bandwidth used to browse sites like myadsl from my default browser? Do I have to use the vodafone live browser to not pay or is it all data to my phone that is free?

You need to use the Blackberry browser (that uses the BB APN by default.)Otherwise if you want to use another browser, make sure it can be configured to use the BB APN.
 
Interesting, I have always wondered about the logistics of this. Interesting question, what if I use the Opera Mini browser on my BB, does it use the BB APN or does it use Internet APN ??? How would I know?

Let Bwana answer, but from what I understand, the latest Opera Mini browser allows you to use the BB APN.

No probs. So I just download the file from VC website and Bob might just become my uncle.
 
I don't want to browse on my BB. I want to connect it to my laptop USB port and use it as a modem. How do I do this?
