Hi,

I have a BlackBerry Bold on a BIS at the moment, but I do have the option of connecting to the Company BES. What is the pros and cons of doing it? I dont really want my personal stuff going through the company network (Gmail, Viigo, Facebook App etc...) Does your Browser and mail now get directed through your company network or how does it work?

Edit: BIS is on Vodacom Contract.

As far as I know, if you have BES, the internet is the same as BIS.

I have BIS and I get my work email by using an outlook web access URL in my email setup for Push Email, and I use Google calendar sync to sync my calendar, works like a bomb, so I don't need BES.

Pros of BES
1. You can get push Email for your work email even if you don't have outlook web access
2. Your calendar and contacts are synced without any 3rd party software on your phone (e.g. Google Sync)

Thats what I can come up with

I set up a rule on my outlook to just forward all mail to my personal BIS email. That way I can control it. If I'm at office, I disable the rule. If I go away, I enable it.
