Blackberry Bold 9700 or iPhone 4?

When will the Desire HD be available? My one contract is due for a upgrade soon. Maybe I can get it on there to play around with it to see what the fuzz is all about. I promise you, nothing will make me put down my Torch except for a newer Blackberry.

Looks like the 25th of November, really not sure. Leaf is telling us one thing & Vodacom & MTN something else.

Think the brightness might have been a bit low....the Desire HD uses a Super LCD made by Sony, so it's a different technology than the SGS display.

But Pocket-Link says the screen is still fantastic, so I'm happy.

To copy from Pocket-Lint :

The screen is a 4.3-inch 800 x 480 pixel resolution display giving you a pixel density of 216ppi. It is bright and vibrant, but can’t replicate the fine detail you’d get from the iPhone 4’s higher resolution display and it doesn’t have the punch of the AMOLED of the Samsung Galaxy S. That’s not to downplay the skills of the Desire HD’s display - it is still a glorious screen on which to live out your mobile life and consume all your content.

Yes. S. AMOLED has brighter and more saturated colours, with strong contrast but LCD still renders more accurate colours.
