Blackberry Bold 9700 trackpad

Anyone used this in full, direct sun?

I've got a Samsung with it and absolutely love it - apart from the fact it won't work in direct sunlight!

Juts FYI - I did read on a forum the trackpad doesn't work in full, direct sunlight :/

Maybe the ball is better

The ball is awful, you'll be sending it in every 5 months like me. Go with the trackpad.

I suppose I can live with occasional direct sunlight stoppage then ... hehe

I dunno - it does fur sure on my Samsang i780.

I googled and say the exact same with the BB. Maybe it's because it's optical and not the standard laptop pad?

I haven't noticed any issues yet and I use mine everywhere. Then again I have big fingers

I just cleaned mine the other day with turps. YMMV.
