Blackberry Curve availability

I hope somebody can help ASAP. Today we went to a VC store in our area to upgrade my sons phone. He wanted a Blackberry Curve but we were told that Vodacom doesn't have any stock, not even in the warehouse and it will only be available on the 7th of February.

Now the reason why it is urgent is that he is having his birthday on Sunday (23/1) and we wanted to surprise him.

Last year when I wanted to upgrade to my HTC Desire I was also told that there's no stock not even in the warehouse. I got the warehouse contact number and phoned them and they had stock. They then send a phone to my nearest store.

I do not have their contact no anymore so I hopr that somebody can help with the number or a VC rep can advise if their really is no stock.

I really would appreciate any assistance..... PLEASE and THANK YOU !!!
 
all VC stores are offering the 9300 curve at same price for upgrade
 
We had the same problem finding a curve last month for my wife, we ended up buying one from Foshini's on prepaid.
 
My Vodashop in Eastgate has got the 9300 in stock...but Vodacom has indeed run out of stock of this model and we are only expecting the next shipment to come in again on the 7th of Feb. Once the 9300 runs out in the stores, they will switch back to the 8520 deals.

Not good news - so I presume he'll have to wait until 7th of Feb. :(

Hi no it's not so far, the problem is that the store here in Heidelberg has done the upgrade but told us that it is not available until the 7th. They also told us that we cannot cancel now but have to wait, otherwise I would have come to your store and do the upgrade there

Give me his the number you want to upgrade. I want to see what has been done and why they saying you cant cancell and have to wait. If you wait untill the 7th, you will loose out on the freakking amazing deals that is currently running on the 9300 at the moment as the deals ends end of business 6th.

They can’t tell you that, the upgrade gets processed once they receive the handset.

Well, I have had a look at the line for you, and the contract has indeed been extended. You will have to wait for the phone I am afraid meneer. If you go into a shop now trying to upgrade they will just tell you the line is not due for upgrade anymore. I see you did it with the upgrades department? Is this correct? I think they extended the line so long to make sure you dont lose out on the deal, but because of that, you wont be able to get the phone for the weekend, even if you drove through to Joburg. Unless they reverse the upgrade that they did and make the upgrade available again.

We did the upgrade at our local "The 082 shop". Thank you for all your assistance in trying to help - it is appreciated.
