I am trying to send emails from a PC to a Blackberry but keep getting the message that the mailbox is full.

The mailbox has definitely been emptied, so could there be another reason for this error message?

Thanks

Define "to a blackberry" ? Doesn't the BB tap into an email adress like any other email program? Or am i missing something?

Simply put : My Blackberry is set up with a gmail account. If someone is sending me email from their PC they will be sending email to Gmail [not my BB] . If they get an error that my mailbox is full, then it mean my Gmail is full [not my BB] . To empty it, i would have to log into Gmail and delete the mail there . Deleting mail on my BB [coming from Gmail] does not necissarily mean i'm deleting it on Gmail, i'm just deleting it from my device, but you can set it up to delete it on both places.

Also where do you get the error? Are you getting returned email? Or are you getting it when trying to read on the BB ?

So for "mailbox been empied" , is this empied on the BB device or on the actual email server [where the real inbox is] . I'm pretty sure clearing you BBs inbox does not mean your email [from where the BB gets the emails] have been cleared also [there are a setting to sync this though] .

Thank you, you were quite right.

I went on to the email server and emptied the inbox there, which cleared up the problem.
