BlackBerry for Cell C launched

Great news. Now I just need to wait till the end of the year for my upgrade.
 
Is the price (R199) the same whether you go for 8520 or 9700? Is it available yet? Anyone got the brochure?
 
I just went on cellc.co.za and the 8520 is R199 p/m not sure about the 9700
 
All in all, great packages. I'd still be weary about using Cell C, though. I've had less than celebratory experiences with their network coverage in the past.
 
IF the Bold is also available at the R199 fee, I would love to know how MTN, my ISP, justifies charging me a R500 monthly subscription fee for the Blackberry Bold 9700 EXCLUDING BIS, on a corporate contract, when Cell C give you everything for R199? I know their network might suck but that's almost a R400 monthly difference if one includes BIS, a saving of R9 600 over two years!

a little late but none the less all welcome... the more competition the better!!
 
My guess is the 8520 will be R199 on all week 100 and the other 2 probably on higher value contracts.

was set on a blackberry, but EVERYONE has one these days....plus i want a better camera
 
It is good news to see Cell C enter the market with its Blackberry offerings.

Might be a n00b question, but with BIS, is it still free to IM a user on the Vodacom and MTN networks?

I am looking to move off of my prepaid with VC and with my wife on BIS it makes sense for me to go the BB route too.
 
Yip, bbm is free for all networks if you have bis or bes :)
 
So, who has Cell C Blackberry yet? I am very interested to hear feedback from guys on here. Hope the Cell C peeps creates a feedback thread soon?
 
Yip, just phoned them - only on business chat 700 - in the region of 1100 per month.
 
Not for me then... Why are Blackberries so way overpriced ? Probably gonna have to pay in R5000 on a business 1000 contract for the 9800 lol
