blackberry - free email and browsing

hey guys...

can somebody please explain how this works????

does this mean that any blackberry fone and I will get free free internet and email???
 
Yes, subject to certain restrictions, and on your device only.

That means you can't use it as a modem or anything similar. The restrictions apply to file size and streaming media, ie youtube. In reality I've not ever been affected by the filesize restrictions.

ok, lemme get this straight...

I would be able to browse internet... FB... and use my emails for free from a blackberry???

please advise how does this wrk?? is this subject to any other terms and conditions??? like time period of connection???
 
Go for the Blackberry! Unlimited internet for the duration of ypur contract. You can still watch Youtube/Metacafe videos through the Vuclip site as well. Unlimited mp3 downloads. The file size limit on most files must be around 35MB as I downloaded a 31MB exe file but a 40MB file wouldn't download. I have my work, blackberry and gmail email addresses set up and the instant push email is awesome. The media player is more than sufficient and very functional. I got rid of my iPod touch... The Garmap for mobile GPS is also brilliant.

will this still apply if I have a top-up R350 contract???

also how will you connect for free access??? surely the networks GPRS is still going to charge u??? or is this a pvt VPN that they use???
 
BB Unlimited browsing

At the very least you need to be subscribed to a blackberry service, the device itself is not enough.
Then, only browsing through the blackberry.net APN (on Vodacom, cannot comment on other networks) will be free.
Beware of connecting though vlive or any other APN as that will be chargeable.
 
I've been using my Blackberry for just over 2 weeks now. I won't get anything else again. Doesn't matter where I go my email reaches me instantaniously and I can reply wherever I am also instantly. Its very good for my business.

sounds great dude... with outlook anywhere honestly all smart phones allow it now.. :)


I'm hoping this free email/browsing is compatible on my package... :)
