Blackberry Messenger latest update...

Hey guys,

I was having trouble installing the latest 7.1 software on my phone. There is a blackberry stand at my local mall, with a guy who updates your phone software for you, while you wait.

So, I give the guy my phone to upgrade and he tells me that if you have downloaded the latest version of bbm, with the wifi voice calls upgrade, you won't be able to upgrade to 7.1 os.

Apparently, the latest version of bbm (from bb app world) has (or is) a virus...
He needed to downgrade back to bbm 6.2 and then upgrade the phones software to ver 7.1.

Anybody else experience this... Coz, it seems kinda dodge.
 
That guy is a moron! Don't go near him. You can do the upgrade yourself.

No virus. Lots of bbm users dont remember there BBID details and thats the problem.With the new bbm it ties it down with your bbid.So you will never loose your contacts again
