7.1 is running smoothly on my 9900. The Hotspot function is awesome.

I've heard 7.1 has a big improvement on battery life in the 9900 - do you find it has? My 9900 is still on 7.0.0.585 and the battery life isnt great; pity because its such a great phone.

I see you have an iphone+android phone as well - I've had an iPhone and three different Android phones; but I love my bold (9700+9780+9900 now), what's your favourite?

im guessing it doesnt use BIS for that and your are billed? any idea if the update is available for the 9360? i tried to use OTA system update function but it says its up to date, did you update through the desktop software?

I've loaded 7.1 on my 9900, can't find the hotspot feature or the radio.
Battery life lasts 6hours Max, 3 hours with very heavy use.

Radio is not available for the 9900 only the newer curves.
Hotspot feature is under connections ie: tap the top of your screen and you'll see it third down if I recall.

Nope, I have mobile network, wifi, Bluetooth and NFC.
No wifi hotspot feature, and I'm running 7.1.0.190... On Vodacom.

I've loaded 7.1.0.190 and also no wifi hotspot feature; apparently it's something to do with the service books from the provider (im also Voda).

My battery life has actually improved since the 7.0.x OS, not by a hell of a lot though.

Hmmm, am on MTN and running the same version, leaked OS from crackberry.

Hi there

Yup, Mobile Hotspot not available on Vodacom. Did a test tonight on a 9810 running 7.1.0.205. Reloaded the OS, and stuck an MTN sim card in. Hotspot feature remained and was able to activate it and link to it from a laptop. Worked great. Stuck the VC sim back in and the Hotspot feature disappeared. :(

Its there on 8ta as well, 8ta roams on mtn, I entered in the apn internet with no user/pass and it tries to connect and fails, but while its trying to connect it says vodacom at the top of the screen. What apn etc do u use for mtn?
