Hey everyone! blackberry has created its own podcast app! read about it here:

these are just cod files, you can download create-a-jad on the link below to make your alx file to install via the bb desktop manager

I havent played around with it much and i did think that it would work through BIS (cos its a RIM made app) but i dont think it does. you have the option of using wifi or operator network. podcasts are saved to your sd mem card though so if you have wifi, you can set it to update podcast while charging and through wifi so the next day on your way to work in your carpool or during your lunch break, youre good to go

it does work on my phone, btw. installed it this morning just before i put up this post

I suppose that's why it's only available in the US right now, US networks are probably storing the podcasts so users can download it for free, doubt it will happen locally though.

Does this actually work for anyone yet? I upgraded to OS 6 on Curve 3G, the app was there, but you simply could not subscribe to podcasts. I would have liked to see that it just limits you to wifi, but no, not USA, not of concern.

This also reflects badly on RIM. People try to do this and come to the conclusion that Blackberry is too difficult to use or doesn't work.
