So my Torch is 8 months olld and now the green "dial" button has lost it's tactile response. If you click any of the other 3 keys (BB menu, red end call or back button) you can feel them click and the implement their function on the phone. The problem with the green one is that there is no longer any click. In order to make a call, I have to push the green dial button hard and then it ends up giving a double press or no press at all.

Anyone experienced this? I think I am going to have to send it in but not looking forward to being without the BB for weeks while they fix it - or will they replace??

I had an issue with them replacing OUT THE BOX on a phone never setup, never moved for than 1 metre from the box and never had a SIM card into. In other words, BRAND NEW.

So yea - they'll send the phone away :/

PS Never had an issue like that

They'll replace so even though you'll be without the phone for a week or two you'll end up with essentially a new Torch so back up all your data first!

Yes thats true, mtn and vodacon dont fix, they send it to blackberry SA for a swapout with a refurbished phone. Unfortunately that whole process takes weeks, even months depending on how many phones nees to be replaced. So if thats the route you choose, backup all your data and prepare to wait a long time. Personally, i dont think i could ever wait that long ever again. New phone or not, its not worth it. But each to his own.
