BlackBerry users to get free premium apps as compensation

Some people here on MyBB are real spungers. Always complaining about everything. Even when they get stuff free. I bet most of you only use your BB for BBM and downloading illegal movies. And that doesn't give you a reason to complain because you crashed the server so that our business men/woman couldn't be able to get those important business emails while we were on the move.

Thanks RIM for the great gester.

Hmmmm...Vlingo is quite good so is the Photo Editor.
It would have been great if they gave you a $100 credit towards any app.

They probably chose those specific apps because they aren't getting much cash off them anyway.

Well when I went to dl the listen shazaam encore app it's not listed as free

Because this:

"The complete selection of premium apps will become available to download at BlackBerry App World over a period of four weeks beginning Wednesday, October 19th."

And today is not the 19th.

hahahahahahahahahaha

the problem is that every app takes up the very limited memory on your device.
Thus for every 'free' app downloaded, you slow down your phone a little.
ahem... MEMORY CARD... slightly obvious as too use this, this is what i use and my phone is not slow!! :D

Isn't When u download an app it doesn't give u an option to download to SD card on a bb ?

And yip install a few apps on bb and it slows the fone down. Experienced it on my different bb's.

Well it's the 19th, Where are the free apps? or do we need to wait for those Canadians to wake up?

Reading the article, are the apps only going to be free till end of 2011 and then revert back to paid apps? Or if I download it during its free period will it always be free for me to download?

One at a time is good news. Can you imagine what will happen if they make all the apps available at the same time and everyone (70,000,000) starts downloading all the apps?

I'm very glad they are doing it one by one.

And this is different to any other cellphone how? Last I checked downloading apps on iPhone or Android also uses up the "very limited" memory on your device, with "very limited" obviously not referring to the 4GB memory I have on my BB.

2 Apps on day three?? At this rate, there's no way we'll be able to use up R800.00 by end December, and RIM knows it. they're a bunch of liers and bulls**tters as usual. read the open letter and you'll see RIM bosses' greed to take and take and not give back. at this rate it falsifies their promises. http://m.bgr.com/2011/06/30/open-le...xec-tells-all-as-company-crumbles-around-him/ .

i have a 9300 which means apps are stored on the phones internal memory and we all know how supersmall it is. i'm not interested in using up R800.00 worth of apps bcos it cant fit on my phone in any way, and make it slower than it already is. i'm just pointing out the lie behind RIM's big ''grand gesture'' hooha.

If ur willing to wait for years to download apps the that's the dumb way to do it, releasing apps one at a time is a good idea as to not put strain on the servers, and maybe you should review apps before you buy it, doesn't mean that they free you have to download them all

I agree Mike. Even in the paid sections have I never wanted any of those apps or games, I already have what I need. I like the paid themes however, soft pink ones, which is very scarce. That's all I'll be looking out for. :-D
