Hi all
I have been struggling with this question for a few weeks now and cannot make up my mind. I have never used one of these handsets so I don't have knowledge about their pros and cons, but I have heard a few rumours etc. What reasons would you give to go with one over the other? I am specifically looking at the Bold 9000 vs the HTC Hero, but other suggestions are welcome.
I am quite a heavy internet user which leads me towards the Blackberry, but I am also a computer engineer, so I like to tweak and customize my phone. At the moment I have the Samsung i900 Omnia and I enjoyed the freedom to do whatever I want with the phone (unlike on an iPhone), but the stylus based resistive touch screen is quite irritating.
How useable is the Hero's touchscreen compared to resistive touch screens? I have heard that Blackberries tend to be pretty slow and sluggish - how true is this and how does the speed compare the the Hero and Omnia? I love having lots of apps and stuff - how does the two app stores compare?
Thanks
