BlackBerry wants you back

BlackBerry Ltd Chief Executive John Chen penned an open letter to current and former BlackBerry users on Wednesday in a push to create some buzz for the company’s new BlackBerry Classic device
 
You shouldn't change for the sake of change, but you should also keep up with what people want. Nobody uses tapes anymore, and CD's are on the decline. If you don't adapt to the market somebody else will.
 
Well, if someone was stupid enough to use a Blackberry in the first place, there's always a chance they might go back.

They could always go for that ridiculous Assport thing.

Hey, as PT Barnum (or someone) said, there's a sucker born every minute.

Remember that horrible piece of crap called the Nintendo Virtual Boy? That sold 770 000.
 
Just because you don't like or appreciate something it doesn't mean it isnt the ideal thing for someone else.
 
I'm actually really interested in this. I used to love the BB interface and I despise touch screen keyboards (yes, even with Swiftkey and whatnot). If they get their Android app emulation up to scratch, I'm buying one.

Obviously some Android/iOS chaps are currently screaming like demons being exorcised, so here are my reasons:
1) I use my phone for the following: Emails, Whatsapp, Twitter, normal phone calls, occasional web browsing, once a week I'll check my bank account balance. I am not a power user, I hate widgets, and I don't have time to sit and install mods every now and then.
2) I love the BB interface, I love their "Inbox" concept, I love that I see emails and tweets, etc. on my phone before they're even visible on my web browser.
3) Mentioned before, but: physical keyboard (and trackpad). I cannot stress enough how much I hate touch screen keyboards. Yes, I've tried all the wonderful custom keyboard apps for Android. I still hate touch screen keyboards.

And, as I've always said, buy whatever phone floats your boat. I didn't like their Q10/Q5 range, but I'm interested in this one.

I also really like their Inbox/Messaging Hub and gestures implementation. Miles ahead of vanilla android.
 
How many are still in the market for new devices, saturated market and customers already wowed by the droid
 
No thanks. I have aBB and hate it intensely.
 
I'm definitely going back to BB, cause Kim Kardashian loves BB.... NOT!
 
But you guys are missing out on those 5 minute restart times...

Good lord I don't miss that. Nor the 30 minutes it usually took to uninstall an app on those 8520's!
