blank dvd's

where do u guys usually but ur blank dvd's from? i was looking for verbatim or similar (to burn movies). i used to get them from makro but thet are overpriced now

Cool, they are the cheapest I have seen. They are in Marlboro.

BenQ dvd's are quite cheap, although the brand doesn't really matter.

I won't touch anything other than Verbatim. I used to get them from a fleamarket near me but than I got an account with Pinnacle.

That pricelist is a bit buggered, I can't figure out how much it costs:

eg.:

100 DVD-R 8X GIGASTORAGE = 1.69

Is that per disc?

The no name brand CD's that I got from them were the biggest load of c**p, so look at the dvd's before buying!

i also thought that brand names do not matter... until some of my "older" (6 months old) discs started to die... nothing can read them, and all of a sudden CRC error ridden.

Best DVD-Rs are from Taiyo-Yuden. They only make single layer
DVD'Rs and CDRs. The best archival recording format is apparently
DVD+R as it stores additional redundant error correction info, so
in case of damage, +R is better.

Frontier is the cheapest and I usually buy the printable ones - have never once had a prob. And no I dont work there
