where do u guys usually but ur blank dvd's from? i was looking for verbatim or similar (to burn movies). i used to get them from makro but thet are overpriced now :(

BenQ dvd's are quite cheap, although the brand doesn't really matter.

The no name brand CD's that I got from them were the biggest load of c**p, so look at the dvd's before buying!

Why should we listen to a dumbnut??

Kidding! :D ;) :p thanks for the heads up!

i also thought that brand names do not matter... until some of my "older" (6 months old) discs started to die... nothing can read them, and all of a sudden CRC error ridden.

sucks

stick to verbatim. good stuff

Best DVD-Rs are from Taiyo-Yuden. They only make single layer
DVD'Rs and CDRs. The best archival recording format is apparently
DVD+R as it stores additional redundant error correction info, so
in case of damage, +R is better.
