I want really white teeth, like the corn-eating sothos :p

I have heard that you can 'bleach' your teeth.

Does anyone know something more about this process or is doing it themselves to get their pearlies sparkling?

Go to the dentist :)

Hehe, I don't smoke, I just drink a lot of tea which tends to colour my teeth.

And the Fluoride treatment at the dentist isn't really that spectacular. I am under the strong impression that there is a home-kit which actually bleaches your teeth.

Go for a clean to your dentist.
ive been using that new Colgate whitening mouthwash... I think its working.

I saw at Intercare in Fourways that they whiten your teeth for something like R1500.....they got a colour palette where you can choose your white from, and it stays white for 2 or 3 years.

That new colgate whitening mouthwash tastes like #$^%*(

Its bubblegum flavour, my problem with it is it becomes foam quickly.

Where do you live? If it's in Jo'burg, there's a cosmetic dentistry place just down the road from Hyde Park. They do the whole deal, teeth whitening, porcelain veneers etc etc.

Personally, white teeth look freakish to me.

There's this stuff in Clicks I saw once. Its got this goo and an little blue light mouthpiece.
Never tried it though.

Only a dentist or certified clinical dental place can bleach/whiten your teeth. Keep in mind that your teeth will be more sensitive afterwards.

These whitening toothpastes, mouthwash & kits are not permitted to have chemicals that whiten your teeth in them - all they do is STAIN your teeth white, much like nicotine/coffee does.

I did this last year after i stopped smoking and was about to get married.. You need to go to the dentist who makes a mould of your teeth.. You then go for a once off bleach which takes about an hour.. It costs about R1500..

You then get a plastic mould with a tube or 2 of bleach which you take home and put on your teeth every night for an hour..

The difference is not that huge though :)
