I am shopping around for a powerful +1kW, +25,000rpm, 2Litre kitchen blender
for less than R2,000. One of the ultimate blenders that go up to 37,000rpm is the
VitaMix blender, but it is R8,000!
So after a lot of research I found a Chinese manufacturer that obviously
tried to make an imitation of a Vitamix for $50/piece:
http://gzschi.en.alibaba.com/produc...ercial_Fruit_Crusher_Ice_Crusher_SC_387_.html

This mixer can do up to 26,000rpm so I think it is powerful enough for my
needs. I want to make smoothies with soaked whole hemp seeds, but I want
the hulls to be pulverized as much as possible for easy consumption.
Grinding the seeds with a coffee/seed grinder is also a possibility, but I
really want to soak them to reduce the enzyme inhibition and soften
the hulls, after which I think grinding will be inappropriate.
My projection from YouTube videos such as http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wkWh9a0Gp0w
where they make hemp milk, the blender really has to go +20,000rpm
to pulverize the hemp seed hulls. I don't feel that the average sub-1kW
kitchen blender is up for the task.
The Chinese supplier ships with UPS, so it is a $130 shipping fee, but I can
order multiple blenders and sell the rest on BidOrBuy to offset the shipping
fee, provided that the blenders are not crap quality. I feel like I want to
make the gamble.
I first want to shop around and hear from you guys/girls if you have used/owned
a blender that you are happy with?
