Blender3d and Google Sketchup

I must say that when you are looking for the best but dont want to pay alot go for these two.

Google sketchup allows you to do 3d modeling very quickly. The Pro version lets you export them in 3ds. You can then import them into Blender 3d, adding lights, animation etc. How many people use this type of configuration?

You get pretty good illustrations from it and it really is a good thing to support the open source community with regards to Blender3d.
 
Two others that you can try:

Daz3D's Hexagon. It's just such a joy to use, in my opinion anyway. It's for pure modelling.
Also worth a try is VoidWorld. I think it's called Nvil these days. Yes, you can find it here: http://digitalfossils.com/

A lot of people are comparing VoidWorld with Silo. I've never tried Silo though.
