Has anyone ever used the Blizzard store to purchase "digital" version of their games?
I ask because I am keen to buy World of Warcraft from them directly (I'm on uncapped now) but how does it work?
Is it like STEAM or is it like normal... Normal as in, I buy, they give me a link, I download it and then I must burn that to a DVD or whatever.

Mate you buy only the key. The client is free to download from various sites. So you buy the key from them. But its cheaper these days to just go to a store and pay R120 for the game.

Actually, I bought it from CNA for R5.99!! It came with 14 days free! Had massive updates to download though....

Lol got to love CNA. They amaze me sometimes. All the patches are locally available anyway so if you have uncapped its no prob.

I noticed while doing downloads (patches for WoW) 5.66GB came via local location (I split my traffic via Linux box and I graph it)

R120? Point me in the right direction please...

BTGames, Hi-Fi corp, Makro, Musica damn just about any store tbh :p

However that is for the Classic version, then you get the first expansion "The Burning Crusade" that should be another R 120 and then the 2nd which is "The Lich King" for about R 250 odd.

That being said, you only need the classic version to play, the other 2 expansions bring different addons to the classic version.

TBC brings a level cap from 60 - 70, two new races, extra land (Outlands) and an extra profession.

The Lich King brings a level cap of 70 - 80 a new Class (Deathknight) extra land (Northrend)

But you only need Classic to play from 1 - 60 if you don't want to play any of the 2 new races or have Jewel crafting as a profession.
This also means you can't make a Paladin Horde side, or a Shaman on Alliance side. But that isn't needed if you are just starting out now.

And the 60-day game cards can be bought at some places for something stupid like R115-00.

Buy it from kalahari... that's what I did, got burning crusade and wrath yesterday too.

Also if you join the EU server choose "bronze dragonflight" realm and I'll help you out and show you around if you want, aquailung is my char name there.
