Blood Pressure...

Hmm, interesting.

So my bp has rising a bit over the last year, to the point where I was getting concerned - but mainly over the systolic. Diastolic wasn't too bad (got to 155/90 on Monday)
Enough that my GP has made an appointment with me next week to discuss it - obviously the meds I was on aren't doing the job.

I decided at the beginning of the year to start regularly walking (just 3-4km a day before work). Have been doing that for two weeks now, and I use strava and a chest strap to keep tabs on things.
This morning, the relative effort for my walk (which was slightly faster, same distance as yesterday) was lower than yesterday's. Average heart rate was lower as well - 123 vs 133.
Checked BP this morning, 133/83.
Only other change is I've gone from two double espressos in the morning to one...

Did the BP reading a couple of times - how can it change so much so quickly?

123/82 in the morning. Even with meds in evening. It used to be closer to 138/90 or even worse at times.

Maybe staying away from writing on mybb has worked ? Especially politics, religion and antivaxxer threads.

Do yourself a favour, measure it at different times at left and right arm, lying down in a coach 15 minutes, when wake up etc to get a variable picture of times situations and actions or not.
Had discussion with a pharmacist doing his final on pill constructions. The pills(extra ingredients) need to be soilable in water in a certain time or if not it would pass through your system. So my question is if everything more or less the same how do I know about the quality of my generic pill if my bloodpressure seems to be different on some days than other=I just dont know for sure.
Another question, if you blood pressure is a certain value(s) measured in arm, who say its the same in your neck and head or middle area or legs-??

It do.

Whenever I visit my family, and is away from work stress, BP comes down big-time.
same here. had a 4 week holiday between Dec/Jan and had normal BP readings. Now back at work and have readings just below stage 1 hypertension. So.... do i change to a less stressful job ( less pay ) or do i go on medication to get my levels down . I think 1st prize would be to exercise more to see how i can get it down .

Nawp, 1st prize would be to get a better job with better salary and no ANC at all.

My BP machine is buggering around.

Same arm a minute apart

Is there theory/facts/recordings from science about how blood pressure can vary during your 24 hour DAY for a start , then how it can vary during a WEEK, then how it can vary for a MONTH, before such a drastic decission is taken to go on medication, seeing once on medication it gets tricky to say the least. This include sleep, relaxed, work, excersize, high stressed periods due to administered life within the country you live in. Are all people educated about high blood pressure drug differences in Originals, Copies, or Generics of it before it administred=I was not at all, I went in good faith and blind, I strongly blame the medical profession for this, as well as Medical Aids resistance to original medicine pushing the generics where the contents(not the active ingrediants) is not given, the content that make the pill soluable in water in certain expected timeframe, as well as the % repeatability of this..

Been there... I now write the date on the meds box when I start the 'sheet' of 10 tablets. It's easy to see if you have missed or not, without risking double-dosing.

I have a tablet holder for Mon-Sun (morning and night) for the boatload of stuff I take every day. If one of the lids is closed, it means I haven’t taken my meds. Easy visual reminder.

I goes to same GP Practice but two different GP's depends on whos available for 6mthly renewals, so the one always say my BP is fine, while the other one always say its a high.
-I have a proper BP monitor(Manual-Arm type with Guage)), but it depends on user for accuracy, so it will vary depending user, it is a good product.

So I recently bought an Omron BP monitor arm type which should give a true reading if connected correctly irrespective of user. I took my blood pressure a few times following the instructions, like 30min delay, 5 min delay, sitting posion etc=It was never high, actually good.
So after that I start taking BP readings at various times during the day ignoring the waiting etc steps, and so far over a month it was never high, it does vary a lot however.
If you want to take a BP reading for the purpose of administering BP medication, you should/must follow the right steps, however otherwise you can take it like and when you want just as long as its connected correctly, to see variations possible including pulse.

Forgot pill yesterday. 151/99 just now.

It is annoying. I put a reminder on phone for 6.30pm every day.
