Blood Pressure...

I stopped using Bilcor, my pulse went to low.
I used to take 5mg the pulse wet to 40.
Then I halved the pill to 2.5mg. Pulse went up to 50.
Then I stopped pulse currently sits on +/- 60.
Blood pressure 122/73 a bit low but for my age it seems to be fine.

Well I am in my early 30s(I don't think it's a good thing) and I am on zartan 50mg.

My blood pressure before was 145/90 ,now it's around 129/80.

Think it was more due to my lifestyle, not getting enough exercise and family history.

Amlodipine isn’t doing the trick. BP still averaging around 130/90. Diastolic is still too high for my liking. Have gut issues because of MIs and all the meds I was on, so have been taking slippery elm instead of the PPIs they had me on (which pretty much stopped stomach acid production and exacerbated my IBS symptoms). Trying a new slippery elm now that also has marshmallow and gamma oryzanol, the latter apparently being useful for reducing cholesterol and lowering BP (as well as maintaining testosterone) - not enough research available on any of it yet, but it’s natural, which is a step in the right direction for me.

I also bought one of those Polaroid watches from Takealot based on the good reviews it received. The only accurate number from it is the time. I've seen it show heart rates that are literally half the number compared to other devices.
Polaroid Android app got updated recently.

One of the changes are that you can have your pulse rate taken in 10, 20 or 30 minute intervals.

I have set mine to 20 minutes, squeeze out a bit of battery life.

any side effects from the Zartan ?

High blood pressure

Last week Wednesday I had my blood pressure checked. Was perfect. Since then I've had a stressfull weekend with about 3 to 4 hours sleep a night for 5 days now and not eating properly.

Today I popped into the doc next door and asked him to check it, its now 130/90 so its shot up. So yeah, high blood pressure in one week :(

He gave me a couple of suggestions to get it down, going for a walk in the evenings, sleep and eating etc so gonna work on it and check it again next week. But yeah, I had no idea blood pressure can shoot up so quickly

My dad is on twynsta (spelling) he seems to get dizzy at times. Is this a normal side affect?

Been on two new meds for a week, after stopping the double dose of Amlodipine. Feet and ankles are still so swollen that I can’t get my shoes on, but at least my BP is looking better. I’m being checked for kidney function next week, as my reading was quite low about a month ago (55%), and farked kidneys can also cause swollen feet. So can heart failure, mind you - it’s the first thing everyone asks me - but cardiology reckon my heart is working like it’s supposed to.

It is definitely not but you can definitely control it or reverse it with some exercise and diet. Seriously vegetables are your friend, well for me and I avoided them for years and now I absolutely love them. For me in general I do intermittent fasting 16 or 18 hours of the day and have mostly vegetables for lunch then eat some meat with veg. You don't have to be so strict like me (I admit I do live my life and eat kark at times).I like running now, maybe start. (I am not a doctor or medical professional at all).

Cannot seem to find a trust worthy source on whether raisins are good or bad for blood pressure?

Also there doesn't seem to be an equivalent to the DASH diet for hypotension?

Took readings this weekend – average 142/86 . Feeling totally normal just the usual work stress . My doc is usually concerned with the diastolic if above 90

Sys shot up, as did HR for no apparent reason. Ended up in A&E because HR wouldn’t come down. Sat at around 150 for almost 30mins.

Check the heart rate on the second one.

I’ve also had my meds changed so need to do regular readings to see how I’m doing. But I suddenly had mad palpitations so checked what my BP was doing. Anyway, I spent the night in the A&E (again) because I have a cardiac history.
