Happy Bloom’s day for the 16th June. A stream-of-consciousness day (in 1904 Dublin). A day celebrated every year when all Irishmen carry around a copy of James Joyce’s Ulysses and try to look consumptive (Lord Byron look) and intellectual while supping their Guinness thinking their po-face is a babe magnet.

Note: I can’t stand him (sponging, hypocritical git) but my wife is a lecturer in Eng. Lit. and thinks he’s wonderful. She feeds me these literary tid-bits.

I just finished an English course where we had to do a Joyce book and I can safely say that I won't be reading any of the others anytime soon. 'Twas painful.
