blue efficiency C180 and C200

Was wondering what is the average fuel consumption drivers are getting out there on the new C180 and C200 blue efficiency. I noticed the manufacturer claims below 7ltr/100km. I have the 07 model in older shape and get 9.3ltr on average in johannesburg

Is most of your driving time in traffic or on open roads?

On all of the cars I have driven you have to have an extremely gentle foot on an open highway to match manufacturer claims. If you are in traffic everyday 9.3l / 100km is not unreasonable.
