Blue Origin resumes space tourism

Im actually mad, at how they milked this for all its worth, when they did nothing except wail and scream like its a fairground ride.

actual astronauts and cosmonauts spend years and get into extreamly fit shape to get the privilege to go into space.
even mark shuttlworth had to learn Russian! among other things.

I just look at this and think to myself how a bunch of spoiled celebrities got to go

Don't open the door, jeff bazos has to use the special tool......

Got to look at the bigger picture - it's opening doors (no pun intended), common spaceflight on its way now. That's just how this numb-nuts world works

bigger picture? they took a bunch of women who wouldn't survive 1 day at NASA or ROSOCOSMOS boot camp or selection
put them into a capsule with 100 cameras, barely went to space, just to the beginning of it. (Karmann line, 100 KM straight up)

wailed and screamed half the flight, didn't do anything except pose for the cameras, no control or anything like reading maps, calculating reentry angles, orientation, emergency procedures, literally like a Chimpanzee that went to space, trying to not Barf the entire time.

not common at all, sure, unique, sure,
but hardly groundbreaking and worth a ticker tape parade down times square.

So what's the story that the girls opened the hatch first? Just a no-no 'cos Bezos had to do it on camera?

agreed, then elected Arnold Schwarzenegger to be a governor.and Donald Trump to be president,
at least I can be happy Sly stallone didn't get to be Vice president.
Yet. . . they're able to launch spacecraft. So not all bad :- p

the world truly is nuts, I'm just expecting to have a laugh before were vaporized in a nuclear fireball.
Nah, not that much of a threat.

a bunch of entitled Chickies got to go on a fairground ride, controlled from the ground, and posing for the cameras.
a Chimpanzee did it, and that was groundbreaking back in the 60's proving the life support works,

this really wasn't, and isnt common at all, even for the super rich,

Valid point from my friend - he recons that the door should be much more bulky, to protect from the hazards of low pressure.
What do you guys think?

I'm thinking it's unnecessary as the flight is short, so presuming they just use the high pressure tanks on-board for that.

How do you think the Wright brothers took the evolution of aircraft & flight a century ago? Most probably had the same thoughts.

One consoling thought is that at least in our lifetime we will not see spaceflight evolution to the extend of planet destroying capabilities.
Orville Wright died with the knowledge that his nation took flight to the extend of dropping A bombs on cities.

Bezos paid for the ride...

1960's documentary voiceover: **Here we can see demonstrated how anyone could now visit space without the need for specialized technical skills such as piloting, years and years of advanced training... or functioning cognitive ability of any sort. Now anyone could conquer the final frontier. Even a monkey.**

What's happening with Boeing's Starliner, are they going to try keep it going or just scrapping it?

Ya all good but these people flying to the upper limits of the earth's atmosphere with tons of rocket fuel but I must drink from a paper straw ......
